MB7204 June 10 & 11 2017 (10am-4:30pm) Saturday/Sunday (Forge)
This two day course is designed for those who have spent a few hours hitting hot iron, either in an introductory class or on their own, and will cover some more advanced basic techniques. These will include punching and drifting (learn to make a one inch hole in a three quarter inch bar) chiseling/splitting (for forks or pokers) and a basic forge weld. Learning to do these things properly will open up a whole range of possibilities for the beginning blacksmith. During the class each student can expect to complete at least two or three projects like bottle openers, fireplace pokers, forks etc. Ages 16 and older, a materials fee of $30 is added to the tuition.
