If you've ever wanted to join two or more pieces of metal together but aren't ready to use a torch, this is the perfect class for you! Riveting is a process of connecting 2+ pieces of metal together without soldering and it also adds a design element, giving you more design options in your jewelry making. In this workshop you'll learn basic riveting skills, designing, how to texture metal, filing, piercing, adding a patina and polishing. You'll walk away with at least one completed project and tons of ideas for more! Copper and brass sheet will be included with your materials fee. * Silver sheet and silver pre-cut shapes will be available for purchase from instructor. Students will learn safety guidelines for riveting as well as general studio safety and will leave with new skills and at least one finished piece. Ages 18 and over. A materials fee of $30.00 will be added to the tuition.
