Add a new tool to your bag of tricks by planning dimensional forms before hitting the workbench. This one-day workshop will teach beginner students how to get the most from SketchUp, a popular free
3D modeling program. You'll learn how to customize the drawing space, how to draw objects accurately and efficiently, and how to use a drawing to create detailed plans and working drawings to use in your workshop. Woodworkers, wood turners, jewelry makers, potters, glass artists, interior designers and others can all use SketchUp to help plan and refine their creations. Students will learn by doing, creating two or more models (one simple, one complex) from start to finish. At the end of the course, students will have the confidence they need to go on to create great, original models on their own.
