GF0212   Sept 29 and 30, 2012  (Saturday/Sunday 10am - 5pm)  (Glass Studio, Railroad Building)

Students will learn fused glass techniques by creating components for jewelry and small items such as bookmarks, wine stoppers, ornaments, and letter openers.  Some dichroic glass will be included in the materials fee. This class is similar to the sampler but with extended project time and covers additional topics tailored to the students’ interests. These are the same techniques used to make larger items like bowls etc.  By starting small you can explore the medium with minimal kiln time, cost for tuition and materials.  Topics will include cutting, grinding, preparing pieces for the kiln and firing. A list of tools and materials suppliers will be provided. Specialty glass, silver wire, findings and gift components will also be available for purchase from the instructor.

A studio/materials fee of $55 is due at time of registration.
