Learn the ancient craft of glass beadmaking in the flame of an oxy-propane gas torch. Students will melt Italian glass rods to form and decorate numerous glass beads to take home. Studio materials and safety will be covered along with principles of glass. Basic shapes and patterns will be learned, including the use of applied and tooled decorations--stripes, dots, glittering foils and more. A studio/materials fee of $75 is due at time of registration.

Wear cotton clothing, long pants and closed-tor shoes. Do do wear overly loose clothing and lie back long hair. All materials will be provided during class. Bring any beads you may have to class for show and tell.
