Sampler Series

Brookfield Craft Center's Sampler Series of workshops and classes are intended to encourage beginners to try something new. For students and even professional artists, trying a new art medium can be intimidating. These specially designed courses demystify a craft by inviting you into a studio, introducing you to a medium’s process and giving you hands on experience. Choose from short workshops in specific media or weekly classes that cross disciplines with a common theme. You might just find your new artistic calling, but you will never know unless you give it a try.

SAMPLER WORKSHOPS
Try something new for 3 to 4 hours in a Sampler Workshop. Get an overview of the technical processes and creative possibilities of a specific medium. Acquaint yourself with the tools and equipment used in the studio and experience a hands-on introduction to the materials. Between tuition and materials, a Sampler Workshop will always cost less than $100.

SAMPLER CLASSES
Under a unified theme of bowls or jewelry, a Sampler Class will gain you access to three different studios over 7 weekly classes. Study under three different faculty members and address design, form and function of an object through multiple disciplines. After finishing your Sampler Class, choose a medium to pursue, or continue on with other courses in the Sampler Series.
