Square is good, as all things are not round. In this class students will learn to create square shaped plates and shallow bowls on the lathe. Starting with an "almost square' arched plate to learn the basic concepts of turning a non-round shape, students will progress to a square plate or shallow bowl of their own design. All phases will be covered, from initial stock preparations to final sanding and finishing. Students should have some previous bowl turning experience.
