CL8207 April 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 2018 (6-9pm) 6 Thursdays (Clay Studio)
This class will focus on the very basics of wheel throwing and then move on to your personal project. It can be a set of plates, mugs, a teapot, whatever you can imagine, we can create. We will begin with demonstrations of objects that are of interest to the class. Then, after you have mastered the basics of centering the clay, you will delve into your chosen project (which can be collaborative if you choose). A discussion of glazes and glazing techniques will provide you with the tools you need to complete your project. Additional clay purchases and glazing and firing can be arranged for an additional fee. Ages 16 and over, a materials fee of $18 will be added to the tuition.
