MB3113 September 28 & 29, 2013 (10am - 5pm) Saturday/Sunday (The Good Forge)

In this two day workshop, students will build on the fundamentals learned in the earlier classes by working with more complex blade shapes. Students will forge, grind and finish a dagger blade from 1064 high carbon steel. Students will then make and fit a guard and grip, and assemble the finished dagger. Subjects covered will include forging of double edged blades, grinding of double edged blades, heat treating,fitting or guards, shaping, and fitting wooden handles,sharpening of daggers and blade assembly methods.. A studio/materials fee of $45 is due at time of registration. Under age 18, please call for details.
