Students will learn how to embellish two of their own wool accessories, one with a needle felted three dimensional rose with shaded leaves, the other with an enlarged and detailed forget-me-not and shaded leaves from a picture. Students will learn how to: draw the basic shape of a flower from a picture onto a wool item; needle felt a three dimensional rose using Amri’s special technique and applique it onto a wool accessory; shade needle felted leaves; needle felt an enlarged and detailed forget me not onto another wool accessory. Students will be able to apply the skills sets learned to needle felt shaded and detailed flowers and shaded leaves of their choice. Students will complete decorating their two wool items with flowers and leaves at the end of the course.
Students must bring:
Two wool accessories to embellish with needle felted flowers and leaves. For example, a hat and scarf or two hats or two scarves. The items must be closely knitted, felted or 100% wool or cashmere fabric. Students may contact me via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text me with questions 203-788-1363.
